Tiffany Murphy

Tiffany is incredibly grateful to be a part of the Generation Hope team! She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s in Biology and a master’s in Teaching. As a teen parent herself she greatly understands the challenges our scholars face when trying to raise a family and complete a degree. She knows first hand it takes both individual hard work and community support for a young student parent to succeed! Tiffany had a career in education and decided that she wanted a more concentrated platform to help student parents that are standing in the place she once stood. Tiffany lives in Loudoun County with her husband, daughter, step son and her two pups. You can usually find her at a high school sporting event on any given night of the week since all members of the Murphy family participate in athletic endeavors.

Why I chose this quote:
If you are paying attention, you see injustice in the world. Injustice for people of color, for women, for the environment. If that bothers you, do something about it. You must start with yourself and eventually those around you will be so inspired by your spirit they will have no choice but to be the change as well. I have spent the better part of my life trying to do something about it and won't stop until the injustice is gone!
