Outreach & Recruitment
In addition to supporting current college students, we go into the community to arm expecting and parenting high school students with information that will help them to consider college as a true option.
Our college-readiness workshops provide basic college admissions and financial aid information to expecting and parenting high school students across the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. Students will also receive an overview of the Generation Hope Scholar Program. We offer these free workshops on site at public and charter schools, churches, nonprofits, and social service agencies. If you work with teen parents and are interested in having Generation Hope conduct a college-readiness workshop for your clients, please contact Volunteer and Outreach Associate Michelle Avelino at 202-656-9539 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
