Jaliah Cobbs
Development Coordinator

Jaliah Cobbs (she/her) was born and raised in New York City. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey with Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Law and a minor in Business Administration. During her time at Saint Peter’s, Jaliah got the opportunity to intern in Washington D.C where she fell in love with the District of Columbia. The internship experience led her to take a leap of faith and move to D.C. From there, Jaliah worked in the charter school system as a compliance manager. Jaliah has always had a passion for education equity and ensuring that everyone has access to quality education. Jaliah’s past work experiences have always included education and nonprofits where education equity was the mission. Jaliah has always had a passion for helping others and providing resources to her community. Jaliah jumped at the opportunity to work at Generation Hope in the new role as the Development Coordinator. Jaliah is thrilled to be able to work with such a dynamic team to continue to provide necessary educational resources to the Scholars at Generation Hope. Outside of work, You can find her checking out a delicious restaurant, a Pilates class or roller-skating!

Why I chose this quote:

It's just a simple reminder that life is so unpredictable that we can forget to enjoy the great things about life. This quote just reminds me to not let the bad things in life outweigh all the good things that life has to offer.
