Community Partners

Generation Hope partners with colleges, public and charter schools, youth-serving non-profits, social service agencies, and churches to help teen parents in the D.C. area become college graduates.

Please contact Caroline Griswold Short, Director of Programming, at caroline@supportgenerationhope.org to see how we can work together to create the next generation of ambitious, successful families through educational attainment.

Fair Chance DC

In March 2013, Generation Hope was chosen as one of six nonprofits to partner with Fair Chance DC over the next year to increase our capacity in eight key areas.  Fair Chance DC is a nonprofit organization that builds the capacity of nonprofit organizations that improve the lives of children and youth living in Washington, D.C.'s most underserved communities - Wards 5, 6, 7 and 8.

D.C. Public Schools New Heights Program

In 2013 Generation Hope became an official partner of the D.C. Public Schools New Heights Program , which provides pregnant and parenting DCPS students with the assistance, support and guidance they need to handle the responsibilities of raising a child and graduating from high school. New Heights participants may be eligible for educational, employment, housing, support services and information about community resources until their 20th birthday.  Generation Hope provides college-readiness workshops at New Heights sites throughout the school year, which focus on college admissions, financial aid, and the realities of being a parenting college student.

In 2016, Generation Hope became an official partner of MentorPrize, which fosters, improves, and increases the number of mentoring relationships in our community. MentorPrize believes that these types of relationships offer many benefits to all who take part in them. Positively influencing the life of another can be a gratifying experience, one that offers the opportunity for the kind of meaningful personal connections that lead to a more empathetic society.

Thank you so much for what you do for all of our students. Your work is so important and so appreciated and valued. You’re the best.
— Marybeth Souza Program Coordinator for New Heights Program for Pregnant and Parenting Students
