Greetings all! My name is Naya Patterson and I am so excited to join Generation Hope as a Scholar Program Coordinator! I share the values of Generation Hope and believe in the importance of this work. My mother was a teen parent, as she had me just three months after her high school graduation and three months after her 18th birthday. Although neither of my parents earned a Bachelor’s degree, they married and raised me in a household that prioritized education and valued family. I am a recent Master of Public Policy graduate of the University of Maryland with a specialization in Education Policy. I am also a proud graduate of Saint Augustine’s University (Raleigh, NC) with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Because of my parents and the opportunities I’ve had as a result of higher education, I am excited to use my passion for equity in education and the well-being of families to uplift our Scholars toward success. I am looking forward to this new journey with you all and am glad to be a part of the Generation Hope family!
