As a small and growing nonprofit, pro-bono services are invaluable to Generation Hope.  Over the years, we have greatly benefited from pro-bono legal services, media relations, graphic design, capacity building, and photography.  Not only do we gain much-needed services, pro-bono support allows us to work with talented individuals who are excited about nonprofit work.

Each year, we host a fall photo shoot for our Scholars, which allows us to get some great photos for telling the Generation Hope story and gives Scholars beautiful photos of their families that they can treasure for a lifetime.   We team up with amazing photographers who provide this service to us at no cost for this special day.   In the past, we’ve worked with Emily Weiss and former intern Skye Keene-Babcock. This year, Gedalia Vera donated her services for our Scholar photo shoot.

Gedalia loved meeting our Scholars, learning about their goals and seeing the dedication to their families, school, and work. She enjoys supporting non-profits like Generation Hope that are “helping single moms like my mother.” She was drawn to Generation Hope Founder and CEO, Nicole Lynn Lewis, because “she is about my age and uses her time to help others who struggled like her. She is an inspiration and I hope to help in any way I can.” Gedalia also looks forward to learning from Nicole and the rest of the Generation Hope family.

Gedalia Vera, is a photographer and owner of a media company that provides photography, video and PR services to events, charities and celebrities.  Originally from La Paz, Bolivia, Gedalia came to the United States at nine years old and always loved to take photos of family and friends.  Her passion for photography led her to get a degree in Television Production with the idea of one day having her own TV Show.  Today Gedalia has begun production on a show called Inside Look TV Magazine  a TV Online medium whose purpose is to get the Inside Look on events, icons and charity organizations.  Gedalia also donates her services to (501) (c)3 organizations in the U.S. She has motivated other people to start working in the media and television industry because of her work with celebrities and charities and especially with kids and non-profits. Currently Gedalia has been asked to appear on several TV Shows such as House of Cards, Law and Order and other TV Series as an extra and she continues to work with non-profits and celebrities.
