Quote:

“Be a good ancestor. Stand for something bigger than yourself. Add value to the Earth during your sojourn” – Marian Wright Edelman

Why I chose this quote:

I chose this quote because I come from a very community-based environment, I was raised to be grateful for what those before me had done for me and to honor past efforts by uplifting my community and helping those around me. It is my personal responsibility to ensure that the doors my education has opened for me do not close behind me.
